HUELLAS DEL UCO "TURISMO RURAL"
Somos familias agricultoras del alto Tunuyán (que en lengua araucana significa “tierra que se mueve”), asociadas en común unión a un circuito de turismo rural asentado sobre la Primera Reserva Acuífera Subterránea de América Latina.
“UCO”, proveniente del nombre de un cacique que habitó la zona, es un toponímico indígena que significa “vertientes de agua” una característica típica de la zona donde abundan manantiales, vertientes y arroyos.
El Valle de Uco abarca los departamentos de Tupungato, Tunuyán y San Carlos, que contienen deslumbrantes bellezas naturales, volcanes, lagunas, cerros, arboledas y ríos, destacándose en el concierto del paisaje cuyano.
Es así que lo invitamos a enclavarse al pie de Los Andes, conocer nuestras producciones, nuestras casas, nuestras familias y nuestro recurso hídrico, tomando la soberanía sobre el mismo para el impulso del valle en el que elegimos vivir y la defensa del agua pura.
HUELLAS DEL UCO "Traces of uco"
We are farmers from the high land of Tunuyán, that in the Araucan dialect means “moving ground”. We are linked by a circuit of rural tourism settled on the first underground water reservation in Latin America.
The term UCO comes from the main chief`s name that inhabited our valley. The meaning is “streams of waters”; the main characteristic of this area, where there is a great abundance of springs and streams.
Valle de Uco encompasses the regions of Tupungato, Tunuyán, and San Carlos. They embrace dazzling natural beauties, volcanoes, lagoons, hills, groves and rivers that make an outstanding landscape of our region.
Therefore, we invite you to go into the foot of Los Andes mountain range to meet our regional products, homes, and our water resource with its sovereignity for the development of the valley we live in, and the defense of pure water.
